Scottish Ceilidh Dance

Unsere Scottish Ceilidh und Country Dancing Gruppe tanzt sowohl Set- als auch Paartänze zu schwungvoller schottischer Musik. Einfache Figuren und Schritte bilden die Grundlage, es kann aber auch manchmal ganz schön verwickelt zugehen! Etwas Chaos ist immer dabei - jeder verwechselt mal rechts mit links - vor allem aber macht es sehr viel Spaß!

Zum Semesterbeginn fangen wir mit einfachen Tänzen an und bringen die Grundschritte bei. Regelmäßiges Erscheinen wird empfohlen. Wer Vorkenntnisse hat, kann aber jederzeit dazukommen. Ihr braucht keinen Tanzpartner mitzubringen, denn der Partnerwechsel gehört zum Ceilidh Dancing dazu. Wir tanzen Set-Tänze (Gruppen aus 3-5 Paaren), Kreistänze mit und ohne Partner, Wechseltänze, bei denen man den Partner schnell wieder verliert.

Der Kurs findet dienstags um 20 Uhr im Seminargebäude des Ambrosianums in der Brunsstraße 19 statt.

Scottish Ceilidh Dance

Our Scottish Ceilidh and Country Dancing group dances both set and couple dances to lively Scottish music. Simple figures and steps form the basis, but sometimes it can get quite involved! There is always a bit of chaos - everyone sometimes confuses right with left - but above all it is a lot of fun! Especially at the beginning of the semester, we have practice sessions for basic steps and dance simple dances, especially in the first hours, where every beginner can join in right away.
However, it is possible to join at any time. You don't need to bring a partner, because changing partners is part of Ceilidh Dancing. We dance couple dances (so-called set dances, where 3-5 couples dance as a group), circle dances with and without partners, change dances, where you lose your partner quickly, and sometimes a Breton chain dance, where the chain also does not need a partner.

The course takes place on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. in the seminar building of the Ambrosianum at Brunsstraße 19.
