Since their triumph last year, the German men’s national team has been the world and European champion in 5-on-5 basketball. The women’s team sensationally won the gold medal in the 3x3 format at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Thanks in no small part to these successes, Germany is in the grip of basketball fever! Please note: To enroll in the Beginner II course, you must have previously participated in a beginner course offered by the university sports program or have the instructor's approval.

The men’s and women’s competitive teams will participate in the German University Championships in 5-on-5 and 3x3 basketball during the summer semester of 2026. The first highlight of the competitive season will be hosting the preliminary rounds of the 5-on-5 DHM on May 9 (women) and May 10 (men) in Tübingen.
