Kursbeschreibung:
Salsa Cubana – Rueda de Casino ist eine lebendige und mitreißende Form der kubanischen Salsa, die im Kreis getanzt wird. Mehrere Paare tanzen synchron die gleichen Figuren und wechseln während des Tanzens ständig die Partner:innen, wodurch sich die „Rueda“ (spanisch für „Rad“) kontinuierlich bewegt. Die Figuren und Partnerwechsel werden von einem sogenannten „Cantante“ angesagt – in diesem Kurs übernimmt diese Rolle die Kursleitung.
Neben den klassischen Rueda-Elementen erweitern wir auch das Figurenrepertoire im Paartanz und arbeiten gezielt an fließenden Übergängen im internationalen „Berlin Style“, präzisem Timing und Musikalität.
A1 – Grundlagen der Rueda de Casino
Im A1-Kurs lernst du die Grundlagen der Rueda de Casino und die wichtigsten Figuren und Kombinationen kennen. Der Fokus liegt auf sauberer Technik, Führen und Folgen, Musikalität sowie der Reaktionsfähigkeit innerhalb der Gruppe. Gleichzeitig erweitern wir dein Figurenrepertoire im Paartanz und schaffen eine sichere Basis für das Tanzen in der Rueda.
Voraussetzungen:
Du solltest bereits folgende Basisfiguren im Paartanz beherrschen:
- Dile que no
- Guapea
- Pa'dentro y pa'fuera
- Exhibela
- Enchufla
- Prima
- Vacílala
A2 – Figurenvielfalt und fließende Übergänge
Im A2-Kurs vertiefen wir die Grundlagen und erweitern das Figurenrepertoire sowohl in der Rueda als auch im Paartanz. Im Mittelpunkt stehen fließende Übergänge, elegante Lauffiguren, präzises Timing und ein besseres Verständnis für die Musik. Neben Technik und Führen/Folgen trainieren wir insbesondere Reaktionsfähigkeit und die Kommunikation innerhalb der Gruppe.
Voraussetzungen:
Du hast bereits einen Rueda-Anfängerkurs besucht und verfügst über Mittelstufenkenntnisse im Paartanz, beispielsweise durch Kenntnisse der Figuren:
- Coca-Cola
- Paseala
- Paseo
- Saloneo
Trainingsziele:
- Erlernen und Vertiefen der Rueda-de-Casino-Figuren
- Erweiterung des Figurenrepertoires im Paartanz
- Verbesserung von Timing, Musikalität und Koordination
- Entwicklung von Führungs- und Folgetechniken
- Förderung von Reaktionsfähigkeit und Gruppendynamik
- Ausbau des tänzerischen Ausdrucks und der Bewegungssicherheit

- Bitte bequeme Kleidung sowie saubere Tanz- oder Hallenschuhe mitbringen.
- Der Kurs zählt während des Semesters zur 3-Kurs-Regelung.

Would you like to expand your salsa skills and experience the energetic atmosphere of Cuban Rueda de Casino? Then this course is for you! In our classes, you will learn the characteristic figures, partner changes, and the unique group dynamics of Cuban salsa.
Course description:
Salsa Cubana – Rueda de Casino is a lively and exciting form of Cuban salsa danced in a circle. Several couples perform the same moves in sync while continuously changing partners, creating the characteristic movement of the “rueda” (Spanish for “wheel”). The combinations and partner changes are called out by a “cantante”, a role performed by the instructor.
In addition to the classic rueda elements, we will expand your partner-dancing repertoire and focus on smooth transitions in the internationally known “Berlin style”, precise timing, and musicality.
A1 – Fundamentals of Rueda de Casino
The A1 course introduces the fundamentals of Rueda de Casino and the most important figures and combinations. The focus is on clean technique, leading and following, musicality, and responsiveness within the group. At the same time, you will expand your partner-dance repertoire and build a solid foundation for dancing in the rueda.
Requirements:
Participants should already know the following partner-dance figures:

A2 – New Figures and Smooth Transitions
The A2 course builds on the basics and expands your repertoire in both rueda and partner dancing. The focus lies on smooth transitions, elegant travelling patterns, precise timing, and a deeper understanding of musicality. In addition to refining technique and leading and following skills, we emphasize responsiveness and communication within the group.
Requirements:
You should already have completed a beginner's rueda course and possess intermediate partner-dancing skills, including figures such as:
- Coca-Cola
- Paseala
- Paseo
- Saloneo
Training goals:
- Learning and refining Rueda de Casino figures
- Expanding the repertoire of partner-dance combinations
- Improving timing, musicality, and coordination
- Developing leading and following skills
- Enhancing responsiveness and group dynamics
- Increasing confidence and expression on the dance floor
Notes:
- Please bring comfortable clothing and clean dance or indoor shoes.
- This course counts toward the 3-course rule during the semester.
